Krewe of Alegria hosts shoe drives and fundraising events during the year that enable us to provide new athletic-style shoes to children throughout the Tampa Bay area. Both in-kind new shoe donations and monetary contributions are always accepted. Additionally, contributions and support from organizations and area businesses such as the Gasparilla Distance Classic Association, the Trey Curry Foundation, and many others, have made it possible to distribute thousands of pairs of shoes to children.

Shoes are distributed in many locations including after-school programs, children's homes and public schools.  Some recent community partner organizations to receive new shoe donations have been Children's Home Network, Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches, Mary Lee's House, A Kid's Place, Hispanic Services Council, Positively U, and The Spring. Krewe of Alegria is proud and honored to reach out and touch the lives of so many children and is grateful to the individuals and sponsors that support our work in the community. For information on upcoming Alegria events please visit our CALENDAR page.
